WHere has my muse gone?

I've been struggling to write lately. It seems my muse has taken a vacation or gone on strike. Don't get me wrong, words come, but not with the passion that usually accompanies it. The other day I wrote just over 4000 words. The next day I read them and hit the delete button. Frustrating, you bet your sweet little butt.

Last night I was sitting starring blindly at the television waiting for my son to call and pick him up from the football game, and it hit me why I've been struggling so fiercely. I'm not being stimulated, or should I say my brain isn't being stimulated. I always let my husband pick what we watch in the evenings because I don't much care for most of the shows these days.

So, we watch Pawn Stars, American Pickers, some restoration show and anything else on History. Don't get me wrong, those are great shows, but day after day they become, well, boring. I need action, fear, thriller, something to get the juices flowing. Nothing has stirred the imagination in a while.

Well, I'm taking care of all that. I have a nice action movie lined up for tonight and October is prime television for me with all the horror and paranormal shows on. Hopefully, this will stimulate and charge the muse for a while.

In the mean time I'm planning a combination birthday and Halloween party for my daughter. I don't do parties well, but I'm trying my best to make it a memorable one for her. Can't wait to see all the little one's dressed up!

Okay, I'm off to overload the brain with gore, fright and hopefully ideas.
