4 Star Review from Romantic Times

Imagine my surprise when I opened my August 2008 issue of Romantic Times mag and found a review for my book Black Smoke. Wooooo Whoooo! 4 stars even! Now comes the test. Will it generate more sale? Fingers crossed on that one.
Here's what it said:

Miller's fast-paced story can best be described as an action-adventure romance. The heroine is a kick-ass gal readers will root for, while the hero is an alpha male who learns a lesson or two. When the action gets going, this story really hits its stride.


Okay, so they didn't say much about it but they gave it 4 STARS which really means something. The rating is 4 stars Compelling - a page turner. That's what I was going for. I don't like to read books I get bored with so I try hard to keep things moving in my stories. And since I love hard core action I try to add as much as possible, as long as it fits the story.
Anyway, I think its cool. To be in a national magazine, well I never thunk it!!

My third book in the Black Smoke series releases August 14, 2008. This is Ricochet's story and boy does he have his hands full. He's a happy bachelor and plans to stay that way. Nothing makes him happier than pulling out his little black book and having a bounty of beauties to call on when he wants a night out. Enter Ronnie Holter. HeHe, boy does she turn him inside out. Only problem is she's on the death list of a very prominent government official. Looks like he and the team are needed to bail her sexy little ass out of the fire.

I've had fun writing about my "team" Sam, Kong, Boomer and Ricochet. They've become family to me. I'm still debating whether or not to write a story about Uncle Walt. I've had some ideas but just need to get them firm in my mind. It would be nice to end this series with a kick ass, blow your mind, SAY WHAT? finally. Who knows, maybe be the end of the summer I'll have it all worked out, outlined and half written. Then again, the kids are home for summer vacation. If you're a parent you know what that means.
